The Rugby Football Union at National Level and Dorset & Wilts County Schools Union here in our twin Counties is committed to growing the game with the education sector as a key support for players starting out on their rugby journey.
Membership of Dorset & Wilts County Schools Union (CSU) and with that England Rugby Football Schools Union (ERFSU).
The England Rugby Football Schools Union is the schools arm of the Rugby Football Union and the organisation to which schools affiliate. Member schools are from across the educational age and range from traditional rugby playing schools to brand new schools of all kinds starting out on their rugby union programmes.
By becoming a member of the Dorset & Wilts County Schools Union (CSU),who support & provide many playing and competition opportunities in our area, and aim to provide Teacher CPD opportunities, you also become affiliated to ERFSU, who provide access to a wide range of resources and Teacher Development opportunities.
Joining the ERSFU Team is a great way to develop rugby in your school. There are numerous benefits which support the growth of rugby, including the schools newsletter and Touchline magazine, inspiring trips to the home of rugby at Twickenham and the chance to purchase England international tickets.
To enter National Competitions such as The NatWest Schools Competition, you will need to be affiliated to D&WCSU.
By becoming a member of Dorset & Wilts County Schools Union, if you intend to take your Students on an Overseas Tour/ Host an Overseas Touring side/ Take part in Cross Border Fixtures with the Home Union sides (Wales, Scotland, Ireland) you will be able to secure the essential Tour Approval, which is obtained through Jan Edwards, Hon Sec Dorset & Wilts County Schools Union, [email protected]
Schools Rugby is the termly ERFSU newsletter that is sent out to all member schools. It is written specially for schools by the schools development team, ERFSU and RFU Publication editor. It contains information on schools programmes, advice on guidance and ways to enhance Rugby Union in your school. It can be found in the centre pages of the Touchline magazine in September, January, March and is available to download.

AFFILIATION FEES 2017/18 (to Include ERFSU fee but not insurance)
Senior, Middle and Girls Schools: £37.50 Junior and Preparatory Schools: £25 Subscriptions should be sent to the Treasurer (as above). Fees do not cover insurance which costs an additional £20 and for which cheques should be sent directly to ERFSU Twickenham.
