Match Report vs Gloucester

Dorset & Wilts 0 : Gloucester 25

Hold the doom and gloom, the match was much closer than the score line indicates. It took Gloucester 10 minutes to score their opening try after continuous pressure and sterling defence Dorset & Wilts just ran out of numbers.

The twin counties then applied pressure of their own but the Gloucester scrum was able to recover the ball and clear their lines.  After some good play from both teams Gloucester worked move allowed their 15 too much space and consequently she scored a try.

The second half saw Dorset & Wilts with 80% possession and continuous pressure but loose carries, knock-on's and forced mistakes meant that they couldn't quite get over the line. Late in the game, the twin counties were forced (with time running out) to be inventive which unfortunately led to gaps which Gloucester were able to optimise running in 3 tries in quick succession. With lots of people playing out of position and some injuries, there leaves much to work on for the final game on December 3rd at Drybrook RFC.

One thing that was good to see was the team work and camaraderie under immense pressure.
