Game Play.  All players will have an opportunity to play in a game at various age grades. U13’s U15 & U18 will have their own pitch and will have a series of training games.

Training. Training will take place on the pitches and will begin from 1030hrs for U15 & U18 and U11 & U13 from 1100hrs.  Players are requested to arrive 30mins prior to start time to receive a brief and familiarise themselves with the setup and which pitches to go to.

Safeguarding.  Everyone is to be vigilant and adhere to high standards towards all involved.  An Event Safeguarding Officer will be announced on the day.  If a club wish to nominate a volunteer to fulfil this role this would be very helpful.  All clubs and schools are return a register of players to support final planning. Annex B is to be completed and returned to both Brett Bader & David Critchel d.critchel@btinternet.com electronically and an updated version is to be handed in on arrival at the event.

Game Play.  All players will have an opportunity to play in a game at various age grades. U15 & U18 from 1245 to 1400 and U11 & U13 from 1315 to 1400 allowing for appropriate time durations for physical development.  A final presentation and photograph will be made following clearing away and the games. All players are expected to stay for the presentation & photograph.

There will again be a lot of girls who are new to the game or stepping up into their first season of girls only rugby and may/will make mistakes please be patient and courteous and respect the core values or rugby! Those who have fully established, or functionally stronger teams please be aware some opponents may not be at your level, so please keep the best interests of all the girls involved in mind. Winning at all costs is not the be all and end all.

Execution

Format.   There will be activities to promote and enrich players fundamental rugby and decision-making skills through qualified coaches.  Several county coaches will lead on this. Club and school coaches are encouraged to take an active part to maximise feedback to players and sharing of good practice between each other.  Following staggered lunches, games will be played, and teams will be put together to maximise opportunities to be fully involved.

Rules and eligibility.   All girls from schools and clubs from Dorset & Wilts and other previously agreed clubs outside of this are eligible to attend the event.

Transport. Transport to and from the event will be at personal expense, efforts should be made to car share where possible due to limited parking.

Insurance and Affiliation.   All players must be registered under their club or school insurance. Additional personal insurance should be considered.

Match Officials.   I have arranged for RFU match officials where possible to cover all games.  Referees will provide a brief on rules at the beginning of the games. If unavailable club coaches are to facilitate this activity.

Equipment. Participants should be in possession of personal playing equipment and are requested to arrive changed for the event due to very limited changing areas. Players are reminded that mouth guards are a mandatory piece of protective equipment.

Media.  Clubs are encouraged to take photographs at the event to use back at their own clubs to promote opportunities.  If any children are not to have photographs taken this is be confirmed with Brett Bader prior to the event.  Photographs will be used to promote the event on Dorset & Wilts social media platforms and future literature.  Schools and Clubs are welcome to bring club feather flags to be used in photographs.

Medical.  All coaches and volunteers are to ensure all their players from their clubs and schools are in possession of their medications.  All clubs and schools are to have a trained first aider with kit supporting their players at the event.  There will be additional first aiders at the event.  All first aiders are to have undertaken the Headcase online learning package within the last 12 months.
