Folowing the 6 June meeting it was agreed to set up a waterfall arrangement as last season where pools play once intitailly on a local basis then the tables rearranged based on the performance and a second tier is in place. Fixtures for first tier on GMS so will show under Team Manager on your club GMS and on your GM
Games start this week, we have unfortunately lost Corsham/Melksham in the North pool, so their games are all removed from the official calendar.
Because this is Youth Rugby we do not publish regulations for matches that are expected under RFU guidance for youth games.
All youth games (unless under an approved trial) are Rolling Subs, Max 22, min 12 players, Scrum matching in numbers at all times, if 1 side is starting short then even numbers are expected from opposition on the pitch.
Also if a team cannot raise a full side, if they play a friendly no points deduction is made.
Games can only be postponed by mutual agreement with the opposition AND first and foremost the competition manager (Jackie Richards), no game can be played later that the final round in the section of the competition..

All U18 competition fixtures will be initially notified to the Referee society by the competition organisers. This will act as a request for your referee to be appointed. Additionally the RFU have made a link between GMS and Who’s The Ref, so these automaticaly are loaded onto the society appointments pages. You will get a notification to the nominated contact if one is appointed. You should check the referees web site to confirm. The society has provided the following as additional information and guidance. If a match is postponed or rearranged the competition organisers will amend the dates on GMS which should feed the referees system, however it is the home teams responsibility to ensure a re-appointment is requested.
The Dorset&Wilts Referee Society cannot guarantee to cover all fixture and it is the responsibility of the club to have a suitably qualified “club referee” available so that the fixture can go ahead.
If games are cancelled the club must contact the appointed referee and the Re-appointment Sec (firstname.lastname@example.org or 05602847350) immediately so the referee can be re-assigned to another game.
