Dear All
For the third season in a row I will be in the management team for Dorset & Wiltshire u20s, this time as team manager.
U20s county sides from all over England will compete against each other in The Jason Leonard u20s County Championships, by the way of regional leagues, then looking to progress into the knockout stages, which conclude in a final at The Allianz stadium, Twickenham.
In the 2022/23 season our lads won the SW England final, but unfortunately narrowly lost in the South of England final, preventing progressing to Twickenham. Last season, 2023/24, we improved and were finalists at Twickenham, but lost to a penalty with the clock in the red past 80 minutes! Heartbreaking for all involved, but memories that will be treasured forever.
This coming campaign of 2024/25, we are determined to try and go that one step further and return from Twickenham as champions! Games themselves don't start until March with the final in June, but up until March there is lot's happening with trials, training etc.
Please can I ask you to promote this at your club and activity encourage lads to attend the trial at Warminster RFC on Sunday January 5th start time of 12:00pm.
I have attached some flyers that you can use on social media and around the club and below are the rules for eligibility.
The registration link is below, together with a registration word document that can be emailed back to me.
There is also a Facebook group, if you can encourage eligible guys to join - https://www.facebook.com/groups/210660555653624
Yours in rugby,
